PYS Summer Skills Clinics
Pembroke Youth Soccer is excited to announce that it will be providing Summer Skills Clinics to provide offseason development opportunities for both PYS players and coaches.
Coaches from South Shore Select Soccer in Hingham, one of the top youth club soccer programs in the country, will be providing Summer Skills Clinics for PYS players entering grades 2 through 7 on Tuesday evenings beginning Tuesday, July 16, and running through Tuesday, August 20 (7/16, 7/23, 7/30, 8/6, 8/13, 8/20).
Boys and Girls entering grades 2 – 4 (5:30pm – 6:45pm)
Boys and Girls entering grades 5 – 7 (6:45pm – 8:00pm)
Location: Hobomock Fields
The clinics will focus heavily on Ball Mastery concepts, with players touching the ball hundreds of times each week and will focus on developing both feet while focusing on keeping the sessions high-energy and fun.
The cost for all 6 sessions for PYS players is $64.00
In addition to offering these clinics to PYS players, all PYS coaches are invited to participate in these training sessions. These sessions will be free, voluntary, and interactive and will allow PYS coaches to experience what a training session feels like from a player’s perspective. Coaches just need to arrive ready to participate and excited to learn.
You can register at the same time you register your player(s) to play.

Note: PYS limits roster sizes in the U10-U14 age divisions in order to ensure appropriate playing time and opportunity for player development and must finalize formal rosters with Coastal Youth Soccer in advance of the Spring season. Though we make every effort to ensure all players wishing to play can be rostered, we cannot guarantee spots to players who wish to play in the Spring-only. To ensure a spot on a Spring roster players should register for the full year; even if they may not be able to fully-participate in the Fall season. If this is the case, please communicate this to your players coach in the Fall.
Open Registration Dates
Registration for all age groups is open.
Registration will be open through Wednesday, July 17.
Late Registration will be available from Thursday, July 18 through Wednesday, July 31. A late fee of $25 will be applied to registration after July 17.
A Waitlist will be available to players who register beginning Thursday, August 1.
In order to ensure that we have appropriate roster sizes and coaching volunteers, PYS will be starting a waitlist for players registering beginning August 1.
It is the goal of PYS to provide every player with a chance to learn and play the game of soccer. In recent years, late registrations has resulted in shortages in coaches and large rosters which is difficult for the coaches and detrimental to the soccer experience of the players on the team.
Players will be added to team rosters from the waitlist on a first come, first served basis. Payment will not be required until a player is roster.
We are always looking for coaches interested in helping out in all age divisions.
If you are interested in coaching you can register to do so using the same registration system used to register your player
PYS also encourages and offers reimbursement for coaching education courses offered through Massachusetss Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) http://www.mayouthsoccer.org/coaches/coach-education/and is also exploring opportunities for coaching clinics over the summer and prior to the start of the Fall season.
