CYSL mtg 11-14-11

The following officers were elected unanimously:

President – Dave Coutts

1^st vice-president – Kevin Cantwell

2nd vice –president – Greg Chandler

Treasurer – Noel Cross

A motion was, seconded and carried unanimously to provide 5 sets of patches with dates per team for MTOC in spring 2012.

Aggie Coleman explained the issue with HS teams in Silver Lake, in that players from Plympton, Halifax and Kingston want to play as a Silver Lake entity. They attend high school together and want to play together as a team. It is anticipated that numbers of players would drop sharply if the Silver Lake teams are broken up. The teams were formed this way last year and it worked well. Silver Lake had an exceptional B19 team, which did not make it to MTOC, but the other teams were, on average, well within the range of ability of other CYSL teams. It was motioned, seconded and carried unanimously that Silver Lake have permission to continue again this spring.

Tentative number of travel teams is due December 5. U12 and U14 preliminary rosters and names of club players are due January 9. Final rosters are due March 10. Any roster changes made between January 9 and March 10 need to go through the Competition Committee.

Art Collins will be replaced by Hank Howie on the Standards Committee.
